Dueling Turntables #10… The Fall… “Totally Wired”

Mark E Smith has got to be one of the most brilliant lyricists as well and carries an unmistakeable vocal style.
TTTTTT,Totally Wired one of my favorite Fall songs.
I did’nt get to see ‘em until a later incarnation, which was still good, but this band here with Marc Riley and Karl Burns is vintage goodness. The “Live At The Hacienda” video is a must for any fan!
There’s many great Fall Lp’s such as “Live At the Witch Trials”, “Hex Induction Hour” and a later favorite of mine, “The Wonderful Frightning World of the Fall”.
Here’s some Mark E. goodness:
I’m Totally Wired. Totally Wired. I’m Totally Wired. Totally
Wired.
Can’t you see? A butterfly stomach round ground. I drank
a jar of coffee, and I took some of these.
And I’m Totally Wired. Totally Wired. I’m Totally Wired. Totally
Wired.
Life leaves you surprised.
Slaps you in the eyes.
If I were a communist, a rich man would bale me.
The opposite applies.
The morning light.
Another fresh fight.
Another row, right, right, right, right.
And I’m Totally Wired. JJJust Totally Wired. I’m
Totally Biased. Totally Wired.
You don’t have to be weird to be wired.
You don’t have to be an American brand.
You don’t have to be strange to be strangled.
You don’t have to be weird to be wrangled.
But I’m Totally Wired. Totally Wired. JJJust Totally
Wired. I’m Totally Wired.
My Heart and I agree. My Heart and I agree.
I’m Irate, Peeved, Irate, Peeved,
Irate, Bad State. Bad State.
Cos I’m Totally Wired. Totally Wired. JJJust Totally
Wired. Totally Wired. And I’m always worried. And I’m always
worried. And I’m always worried. And I’m always worried.

Thanks, WJ

    Indeed.
Basslines and sound from the Fall, Stranglers and Motorhead were a huge influence on the Acetone sound.
Grinding Rickenbocker with the Ampeg SVT set up Can’t be beat.
