Many many moons ago, perhaps even a whole Earth rotation, I brought up this bizarre but real image found on Google Maps. I went out on a limb and said I found it more than a bit off putting. Well open up to the CALIFORNIA section of the LA Times today and turns out I wasn’t the only one upset about it…
CORONADO, Calif., — The U.S. Navy has decided to spend as much as $600,000 for landscaping and architectural modifications to obscure the fact that one its building complexes looks like a swastika from the air.
[...]From the ground and from inside nearby buildings, the controversial shape cannot be seen. Nor are there any civilian or military landing patterns that provide such a view to airline passengers.
But once people began looking at satellite images from Google Earth, they started commenting about on blogs and websites about how much the buildings resembled the symbol used by the Nazis.

Well I guess it’s good to know that online outrage does sometimes have an effect. If they really want to transform the site, I recommend they reverse the building into the good swastika used by Hindus.

I think actually the Swastika represents Nazi Germany & the groups of buildings to the west represent two bombers flying in kicking their ass.

But even if the two airplanes were not there we should keep it because it’s symbolic of our current government & their policies.
Maybe Bush should change the stars in our flag to little Swastikas.
I say that “swastica” ,although amusing, is happenstance. Perception is not always reality.
it could very well be that that’s the case, a pure bizzaro freak occurrence. but i really don’t know, it’s just too perfectly aligned. the architect has to know exactly what’s being fabricated, and if he somehow let something as glaring as THAT get by him, well the gentlemen shouldn’t be designing stuff in the first place.

The buildings below are not bombers, they are nazi eagles. Bombers don’t have parallel wings. they have perpendicular wings, but nazi eagle wings do any many reliefs and statues; for example, http://www.pzg.biz/regalia_nuremburg_eagle.jpg. Has no one seen a bomber? Just Google it. I haven’t even looked at the other buildings yet.

i looked at the two buildings two the left of the main swastika. ALSO SWASTIKAS!!!! NO JOKE……WAKE UP PEOPLE!
i was the one of the first people to live in the “swastica” on the amphibious base in coronado and at that time, not a soul knew what these buildings looked like from the air. the buildings are barracks and i lived there in 1970 and remember being there and listening to the news on appollo 13 just before i was discharged from the usn. there was nothing unusual about the building on the ground. these were just a huge improvement in living quarters from the barracks that we lived in prior to these newer facilities. g lorenz

Yup, this building is appropriate to represent the US government, or at least large parts of it. Neo-con ideology is part and parcel with Nazism. Bushitler brought this country closer to Fascism than it ever has been before.
