(support the House resolution on Turkish Genocide in Armenia .. an event.. that occurred 95 yrs. ago.. seems a bit late to acknowledge that..but never to late to set the facts straight).
start somewhere for Gods sake..
A friend of mine recently looked at me..askance..and said..
” well, youre’ just a freaking Socialist”.. this after a wee bit o’ conversation about..current events.
My reply is..Politics… is just a diversion, from the Real issue…
and that is a Spiritual understanding… of our Human condition.
the mechanics of so called” current events…” i.e..
Politics..
are clear to see..
This remarkable diversion..Politics.. has us spending huge amounts of energy and passion..
hung up on divisive labels of each other ..based on false premises..
debating the right and wrong of an utterly failed set of systems..
All of which we have inherited..
None of which have ever worked…
Do they?
Examine your conditioning..Nationalism, Religion, Race, Patriotism, Party…..all your so- called “isms’” and dearly held beliefs..how have they helped thus far..?
Not at all..
Quite the contrary.. these beliefs..are the problem.
Consider a radical change in life…now.
Thank God for the Arts..Universal communication via Music, Poetry, Architecture..where we can each communicate with each other on a direct…level.
Non linear..from the Heart…Human to Human.
As my friend pressed me to put a label on my so-called”beliefs”..I said..O.K…
Call me a “Born Again Anarchist Buddhist Socialist with Strong..Animist Leanings “…
Oh yeah..”Surfer too”.
Just sending this out to you all..keep the Faith in these..Perilous times.

so a question then…
as a young adult entering into this arguably broken set of systems, how does one then lead a life within it without sacrificing a bit of your own humanity? full immersion into the system we know is perilous, but vanishing into a monastery is just as unreasonable.
through the arts appears a viable, if difficult route.
i’m curious regarding your (or anybody else’s) perspective on the matter.
most good questions have the answer embedded within it.
I will suggest.. for example..that you aren’t “entering” this (arguably) broken set of systems….you are are that system.
this the result of a brain conditioned to respond to present events from a past related paradigm based on fear, acquisition, pain, and polarities of division.
thus nothing in the realm of human behavior ever really changes..only the level of technology..with which we use to abuse each other and desecrate the planet.
the “art” of life,as such, is the williness to look at this reality.. honestly,carefully,without prejudice, and determine what constitutes the life of a Human Being, free of conditioning and it’s resultant , destructive…”ism’s.”‘
then live it.
there is no “answer”..but many hints..and many have pointed out a direction. you know who they are..you meet them everyday.
my personal end game revolves upon a state of “non-differentiated Reality”…and to that my so-called description of self as a “born again anarchist Buddhist Socialist..with strong Animist leanings”..is not an attempt to be clever and may be less glib than it seems.
at a minimum..”do unto others..as you would have them do to you”.
I’ll leave you with this..paraphrased from Rainer Maria Rilke…
“..have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language.
don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them.
and the point is, to live everything.
live the questions now.
perhaps then,someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer…..”
