Back in the late 50′s, a
record company gave Merle Travis 2 weeks to come up with an album comprised entirely of mining songs.
He did so, and and in that batch were at least 3 classic’s: “Nine pound Hammer”,”Dark as a Dungeon”, and one of my favorites, “Sixteen tons” (which became a signature song for Tennesse Ernie Ford and millions of the drunken fans of his long running television show).
Flash forward to Jan’ 8 2007, and here we have the inimitable Dennis Kucinich serenading the initially confused participants of the Wall St. Project Conference with a key verse from “Sixteen Tons”.
Good music never dies…and, as Jesse Jackson seems to be thinking..”thats one crazy ass white man”
Rock on Dennis!

MAYBE WOULD BE AN IDEA TO POST HERE SOME PARTS OF THE DOCUMENTAL OF MOORE CALLED “SYCKO” ….?
IN THAT LINE YOU WILL COME UP TO INTERVIEW WITH TONY BENN..AN EX CONGRESSMAN IN ENGLAND OR UK..AND WRITER WITH INTERESTING LEFT IDEAS..CLEAR-SIMPLE IDEAS..MAYBE I COULD CALL THEM..
DEFINETLY “SYCKO” WILL HIT ON TARGET AND SAME PAGE..
PEACE & KEEP IT SOUL!
