Okay…two days away from super-duper-prodigious Tuesday where most readers here are probably going to vote. for a little fun, I put together this poll to see where the transafixion community comes down. vote.
[editorial note: the decision to lump candidates Gravel, Paul, Huckabee as "other" is based on my opinion that they have no chance of winning at this point. If this was a month ago, I would have included them all.]

last night I was skimming through the tv channels and came across this….Larry King talking politics with Snoop dog…
as far as “other “is concerned..the first choices are:
Kucinich, and second,
Edwards’.
the “others “are in so many ways more relevant than the eventual winner.
through their passion..
they shape the perspective of a serious chunk of the voting masses and force the mainstream candidates to take just a wee a bit of their core issues..poverty, health care, equality, race, work, and labor,..into serious consideration as part of their campaign pledges..
if only to siphon off votes from the recently departed , other ran, candidate.
I’ll take whatever works..
Having said all that..my Dream ticket is Krishnamurti/ Kucinich/Nader..
and,
I actually voted for Obama.
if not for Edwards, and in some way Kucinich (and Dean in ’04), then obama and clinton would be just another John Kerry. really got to hand it to Edwards though…he hung in there and moved this race and country onto a path for the better. i went with obama because i’m willing to take a risk. there’s a possibility that he’ll end up being just another president, maybe one that laid the ground work for future minority presidents….or there’s the very real possibility that he becomes a transformational President. With him helping elect more Democrats to congress, I feel there’s a chance that he will fundamentally change and right our wayward ship. hillary would be alright, but nothing special.
as for a dream ticket…Krishnamurti/Arnold.
No matter what happens, I think the success so far of the Obama ‘Hope’ campaign has been amazing to see.
If he wins the nomination who do you believe would be the best sidekick?
Pimps sell hope to their bitches.
oh Phil…
oh ian..:-)
here’s the other..scenario.
come Convention time, neither Obama, or Clinton have a complete lock on required Delegate votes….
It goes one or two votes to the floor with a deadlock…
the Democrats are eating themselves up (again), just like 1968..
there is an answer:
a groundswell for an alternative candidate;
someone who doesn’t have to answer about his vote on going to war with Iraq…has the “Experience’ (as Jimi would say), is also
cutting edge…environmentally friendly… semi photogenic, just won the Nobel Peace Prize…and also just happened to win the Election in 2000, but was not allowed to take office.
Yes, it’s re-elect Al Gore, with..Obama as V.P.
Gore , and the Country get their due…Obama gets a wee bit of training, and becomes the heir apparent for 2012…
his due..
game, set, match.
think about it..
Gore/Obama 08″.
i like it doctor.
and with bowie’s “heroes” blasting in the background.
