i came across this clip of Linton Kwesi Johnson out at coachella. i’m really bummed i missed him. he did just a 10 minute reading, at the end stating that poetry should only be dispersed in small doses…

amazing to me that LKJ seems to be speaking to a (relatively) empty stage.

what he, Mutabaruka, Gil Scott Heron, and so many other poets.. and Humans.. have to say is timeless..valuable..and transcendent.. it stands on it’s own merit.
Wisdom is dispersed in small doses..
let him who has an ear..hear.
and act accordingly.
