BAMA’O – Berlin Edition

Real interesting moment in this campaign right now. Here you have this Obama guy hopping around the globe, looking more like America’s President than ‘still’ President Bush, while at the same time there’s John McCain, back at home twiddling his thumbs in slightly less impressive photo-ops.

If Americans vote on awesomeness (which they kinda do) I don’t see how this election is close. But, it’s still very early and there’s plenty of time for things to happen. All I can say is… if Obama doesn’t win, the world at large will have a major bone to pick with America’s citizens. This shit’s emotional on a global scale.

If McCain is elected there will certainly be measurable blow back from the world wide community. There are many small minded, zenaphobic Americans who don’t even consider the importance of constructive international relations. This will become evident as the backlash grows from his trip. Obviously the fact that people in other countries like Obama is not the primary reason to vote for him, but it is a factor. We have plenty of big fish to fry right here at home, the future of the Supreme Court being one of huge importance. There many, many more issues of which we will have to hold Obama’s feet to the fire in order to make progress. When it is all said and done Obama is clearly the more capable human being, but with my age comes a major concern that despite all facts and logic that it might just come down to; ‘do I vote for the white military guy, or the young black guy’. I sincerely hope this is not the case, because it will be a sad and dangerous day for our country and the world if McCain becomes President.

they were there for a pretty awesome free concert… not to see Obama… you’ve committed a fraud on the public by purporting otherwise
