U.S. and Poland set missile deal
WASHINGTON: The United States and Poland reached a long-stalled deal on Thursday to place an American missile defense base on Polish territory, in the strongest reaction so far to Russia’s military operation in Georgia.
Wouldn’t it be sweet if instead of wasting a shit load of money and setting up missile defense bases around the world, we started using that money to install solar and wind farms around the world. This seems like a better long term investment – globally and politically. Especially if these farms were installed in underdeveloped areas, we would immediately increase the quality of life for thousands of people, let alone stop making people scared of us. I’m tired of our world endeavours being only about military involvement.
