Maddow is for real. without a doubt one of the brightest people to emerge on television in some time. i’ve only seen a bit of the show so far, but liked it. good personality, good brains, good looks… although that may be a losing battle. but no matter! she speaks IT.
i think this show is important because it starts to create an atmosphere in the large media that being a “Liberal” is okay. Besides Olberman, there’s nothing else. The mindset of the “neutral” reporters has been so conservative just because of all the shows they go on have at least a conservative angle to them. The whole “liberal media” meme was always just shtick, and they were able to work the refs into their camp.
On her second show, she had Pat Buchanen on. I’ve seen him a million times on tv, but this was different. Pat was Rachel’s guest, so the perspective and control of the whole segment was from a Progressive point of view. She just dominated him. it was awesome.
