Survey USA conducted a poll two years ago proposing as a hypothetical matchup…
McCain v. Obama — SurveyUSA, Circa 2006:

Times have changed.
—————————————————–
My prediction: 337 Obama – 201 McCain, 53% (O)-46% (M), 8+ Dem Senate Seats, 31+ Dem House Seats
As you can see, I’m pretty optamistic about today. What about you guys?

How do I feel? Excited and cautiously optimistic. I’ll celebrate when the phat lady sings though.
It felt good to go to the polls early with the family this morning. Our local city council election is super important this year. Have a great day everyone!
Quail Botanical Gardens was our polling place this year.
Kinda nice walking through the bamboo in the rain on our way to vote this morning.
The last few years we had to vote at the catholic church across the street. That always gave me the creeps.
how do i feel?
well for one thing I wish people would stop saying its’ a done deal..
it isn’t..and remember..
the last 2 elections were won by the Democratic candidate .
so at this point..I’m feeling positive but VERY WARY of the outcome.
As an American,I’ll support whoever wins.
As an American, if McCain wins I will not support him. I can not support Greed, corruption and now with Palin , stupidity.
The numbers at my local are out of control. Not like usual. Great to see!
Still, I got chills and yes, they’re multiply’in!
Be careful JW -you’re gonna pop a clot! Don’t worry you’ll get your welfare benefits from Obama.
Socialism prevails !!!!!!!
I make over $250,000 a year and I’m very pleased to to pay my higher taxes to support the country. Especially when my tax money will go to helping education and weeding out the bad teachers.
right on JW.
I can tell you really don’t know what you’re talking about if you think throwing money into education helps students,LAUSD is a great example.
maybe re-education of bad teachers. lol
beetlej’s worst dream has manifest.
My worst nightmare is all of you gloating retards here.
welcome to your nightmare beetle. but seriously, this is a pretty cool moment. each side gets their turn… we finally get ours.
McCain’s speech was disrespectful and scary.
I realize he’s speaking to an all white crowd of mostly racists which is why he needed to be more uniting.
He referred to: the country as ‘his country’…..
never called him president elect……
and really did not persuade the booing bitter fucks to come together even though he briefly said so.
(reminds me of the “Obama is Arab” episode and how he was patted on the back for barely saying anything to reject that idiot lady)
The most of his speech was about him and the future agenda of Palin.
Right on Warm Jet. The selflessness of Obama and his campaign is the thrust, power and joy of this victory. Peace.
Like I said ,since he’s prez now,I support him and am happy it’s over.peace
good one beetle.
onward.
I predict Obama involving McCain in some way to really tie things together.
There’s some bitter people out there and things need to be chilled.
Maybe Obama will give McCain a job watering the lawn at the White House.
Kidding.
How you think when the economic crisis will end? I wish to make statistics of independent opinions!
