First saw this in the must see..”Film About Jimi Hendrix”..that came out about 1973/74.
Great film. super performance footage and wonderful interviews with lots..of the players..Little Richard,Billy Cox,Lou Reed, Eric C.,Pete Townsend, Mick Jagger, Mitch Mitchell, Chas Chandler,..and so many others from before ,and after, his rise..to fame, and beyond.
Here we have Jimi sounding a lot like Sonny Terry/Brownie McGhee..12 string acoustic.. chitlin’ blues ..a bit shy about it maybe..but really what could you expect?
and I love the bit at the end where he says,..”you didn’t think I could do that”?
