never heard of these guys until I read a LA Times review regarding upcoming Coachella..
here’s a bit of what I found..
these musicians playing with the great Fela drummer Tony Allen, and Senegals’ Baaba Maal, in London.
That doesn’t happen unless you are extra-ordinary.
Plus the fact, 8 of the 9 members are the sons of the ridiculously talented Kelan Phil Cochran..who played with Sun Ra..and you get my attention.

the earth’s explosion in iceland kept these dudes (as well as many other acts) from the festival. too bad.

i got to see Tony Allen and Roy Ayers in LA in 2009, and that was one of the highlights of my year.
