Why Giuliani Sucks

Then there’s 9/11. Like Bush’s, Rudy’s career before the bombing was in the toilet; New Yorkers had come to think of him as an ambition-sick meanie whose personal scandals were truly wearying to think about. But on the day of the attack, it must be admitted, Rudy hit the perfect note; he displayed all the strength and reassuring calm that Bush did not, and for one day at least, he was everything you’d want in a leader. Then he woke up the next day and the opportunist in him saw that there was money to be made in an America high on fear.
[…]While the mayor himself flew out of New York on a magic carpet, thousands of cash-strapped cops, firemen and city workers involved with the cleanup at the World Trade Center were developing cancers and infections and mysterious respiratory ailments like the “WTC cough.” This is the dirty little secret lurking underneath Rudy’s 9/11 hero image — the most egregious example of his willingness to shape public policy to suit his donors. While the cleanup effort at the Pentagon was turned over to federal agencies like OSHA, which quickly sealed off the site and required relief workers to wear hazmat suits, the World Trade Center cleanup was handed over to Giuliani.
[…]Although respiratory-mask use was mandatory, the city allowed a macho culture to develop on the site: Even the mayor himself showed up without a mask. By October, it was estimated, masks were being worn on site as little as twenty-nine percent of the time. Rudy proclaimed that there were “no significant problems” with the air at the World Trade Center. But there was something wrong with the air: It was one of the most dangerous toxic-waste sites in human history, full of everything from benzene to asbestos and PCBs to dioxin (the active ingredient in Agent Orange). Since the cleanup ended, police and firefighters have reported a host of serious illnesses — respiratory ailments like sarcoidosis; leukemia and lymphoma and other cancers; and immune-system problems.
“The likelihood is that more people will eventually die from the cleanup than from the original accident,” says David Worby, an attorney representing thousands of cleanup workers in a class-action lawsuit against the city. “Giuliani wears 9/11 like a badge of honor, but he screwed up so badly.”

It’s a good thing that Rudy is self destructing and is no longer a threat but my fears now are for the support of another frightning clone, being Romney!
Once this thing really gets going I know he’ll be exposed yet my spies inside the right say he’s their guy.
Let’s open up his baggage cuz he’s travelin’ heavy!

I lived in Queens when Giuliani was Mayor, and at one time, I actually admired the guy (He was a hell of a lot better than David Dinkins, his incompetent predecessor), but I dont think that he is fit to be President.
While I generally agree with his stance on foreign policy, I think that he lacks proper morality and sound judgement. Specifically, the following “lapses in judgement” bother me:
- He married his second cousin, Regina Peruggi
- He associated himself with dishonest and corrupt men such as Howard Safir, Thomas Von Essen, and Bernard Kerik
- On more than one occassion, he dressed in drag and shamelessly paraded around in front of audiences and cameras. His first foray into public cross dressing was on March 1, 1997 when he appeared onstage dressed as Marilyn Monroe at the New York Hilton with actress Julie Andrews. Later that year, he appeared on Saturday Night Live dressed as “Rita Delvecchio’s mother”, and in 2000, he he appeared at the Mayor’s Inner Circle Press Roast wearing a purple dress and a blond wig, and participated in a skit in which Donald Trump tried to kiss him.

Honestly, I wouldn’t vote for this asshole. He didn’t do a damn thing on 9-11 except look tough while police, fire fighters, and EMT’s were going in and risking their lives and many died. Giuliani is a prick who has stepped over the dead and uses them as his props for his power-hungry drive for presidency. He also holds views which are inconsistent with the Republican platform (well pretty much all of the candidates do except for one). He cross-dresses, he married his second cousin, he is for gun control, he wants the government to have an iron grip on people, and he is just pure evil.
That’s why you should vote for Ron Paul. None of the macho bullshit, just sensible government. RON PAUL 2008!

Rudy is far more sinister than a couple goofy cross dressing incidents and a botched cleanup effort:
- Wants national ID cards. Can you say papers please?
- Wants to disarm Americans in compliance with UN desires for an unarmed American population
- Wants to greatly expand war into Iran, then syria and who knows where else. Publicly stated he would add 10 combat divisions to millitary. How do you do this while enlistment is not meeting its numbers *think draft*
These types of policies were put in place in Germany under the guise of Nationalism in the wake of the treaty of versailles. Now Rudy is trying to implement the same policies using the post 9/11 fear and paranoia as cover. Let us please be vigilant enough to not let history repeat itself.

I have been working across Ground Zero since 1994 and know NYC well. While compared to Dinkins Giuliani is close to a god, taken on his own merits, this guy should be behind bars, not involved in a primary race. On 9-11 he did what any mayor of any city in the world would have done - the only difference is that this clown had the press to pump up his macho image as if without him we would all fall into the Hudson Bay.
He is credited with cleaning up much of NYC before 9-11 and I will give credit where credit is due, but I also believe one must take a politician in his/her entirety and one bright spot does not cancel many lapses in judgment. Sure, even Bush graduated from Yale, but it does not take away the stupidity he has shown time and again.

#1 Reason why Giuliani sucks: Last year’s “frontrunner” and “mainstream” candidate who’s has pretty much universal name recognition, Giuliani LOST to Republican candidate Ron Paul in 2 out of 3 primaries/caucuses so far. In the most recent primary in Michigan, Giuliani had 1% of the votes, and his total vote count was LESS THAN HALF of Ron Paul’s. Ron Paul is outspokenly anti-war, anti-illegal immigration, anti-taxing and overspending — which is the exact opposite of what Giuliani stands for, and is the reason why Giuliani thinks he needs to make fun of Ron Paul.
This is why Giuliani SUCKS.
Also, Ron Paul has never dressed in drag.

He’s simply one of the criminals complicit in 911 (ordering the immediate destruction of crime scene evidence). He’s only capitalizing on and exploiting the propaganda and fear campaign waged against the American people. As alarming as this sounds, the truth is stranger than fiction and a clear fact- based analysis will one day verify this.
