Radiohead - National Anthem

From 2000.

The other side of the Radiohead coin. The one where they take no prisoners and destroy. I remember watching this performance live on TV, jaw on the floor, dazed and confused by they end of it.

The brass section? The madman singing intelligably? And what the fuck was that guy doing with his finger all wired up? I had so many questions…but they didn’t really matter. The goosebumps on my arms and the hairs standing on my neck answered everything.

To cap it off, at the end of the show as the credits rolled over cast and host, Yorke held up a handmade sign that read “Let Ralph Debate”, refering to Nader of course.

I like Radiohead.

    Awesome wall of sound!!!
The baritone sax is so clear with all that shit goin on.
Being a sound engineer for them live must be quite a chore!
I remember this too and was floored.
I feel sorry for anyone who thinks this is a bore.
