Early voting in the Texas Primary has been out of control. It’s up 1000% in some precincts. But because of some f’ed up gerrymandering by Texas Republican and probably just dickish qualities, the closest voting precinct for the students of Prairie View A&M University is 7 miles away from campus.

So what did they do? They closed down the Highway and marched seven miles to cast their vote on the first day of early voting.

They should vote absentee,it’s much easier.

…and then they voted for hillary? doubt it.

hussein’s gonna wrap this sucker up come march 4th. we then get to look forward to possibly the ugliest character assignations ever attempted in a political campaign. i put nothing below mccain, or the rights fear.

It’ll be interesting-Extreme different world views for sure. I’ll stick with the capitalists because socialism has be proven a utopian ideal.

they’re going to throw it all against the wall, praying that any & all innuendos sticks. just like the J. Goldberg fantasy that liberalism is socialism is nazism nonsense, the Right is going to end up isolating themselves further and further into the corner this election season. as much as the right would like (and need) to fight another existential enemy like ‘the terrorists’, or ‘the media’, or ‘the commies’, their efforts will fall flat because we as a country have moved on…without them.

the 20+ age gap between the two is also going to interesting to watch.

I guess time will tell if the terrorist deal is existential or not. It is a fact though, that terrorist are attacking people all over the world.(isn’t it?) I haven’t read that Goldberg book,is it a good read? I would agree with him that socialist systems are favored by liberals ,and are a good idea, but typically don’t work. Don’t they call it “the law of unintended consequence” where the ideas are noble but don’t work in real life, the consequence of those socialist ideals make societies worse off in fact.

  6. jacob Says:

it certainly holds historical precedent, the fact that socialist societies have folded onto and affected negatively it’s own populace. but name me any other system of rule where that has not occurred.

there will always need to be a balance of systems, running separately but (hopefully) contributing to the same equilibrium of fairness and prosperity. it can’t all be left to the free market, and it can’t all be government regulated.

the fear is that the policies of this administration, its vigilante push toward sustaining the “perception” of existential terror, has resulted in a dangerous escalation of privatization… i.e. a strengthened military industrial complex. if nothing else, we have to admit these last eight years have been a boon for the war industry.

twenty years ago something like blackwater could not exist in this country. if this course of privatization continues on its set path, what will exist in another twenty years?

-good question, extremes in either direction are dangerous, our checks and balances seem to be working.
