US special forces launch rare attack inside Syria
DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) - U.S. military helicopters launched an extremely rare attack Sunday on Syrian territory close to the border with Iraq, killing eight people in a strike the government in Damascus condemned as “serious aggression.”
A U.S. military official said the raid by special forces targeted the foreign fighter network that travels through Syria into Iraq. The Americans have been unable to shut the network down in the area because Syria was out of the military’s reach.
Nice try. Ain’t gonna work.

it’s tough to get a read on all this politically. this very well could just be an autonomous incident… or not.
i mean, they’re so far down in the polls that, at this late in the game, something MAJOR would have to go down to influence the electorate. and even still, with the climate that exists right now nationally, if something big occurred it’d look highly suspicious to a lot of people.
i just wish we didn’t have to think like this.

…another political conspiracy dammit!

If there’s one thing we all should have learned from the 8 years of the Bush administration, it is that they are willing to use all levers of government to advance their personal & political goals.
From war to spying to torture…the ends always justify the means to them.

IMHO, people who belittle, dismiss, and express the ‘whatever’ slogan, to agreed upon facts are actively partaking in ‘the conspiracy’.
2+2=4 do you understand?
I am sure the mission was to go in and kill people… whatever, who cares, they probably deserved it, if not unfortunate things happen in war, rationalizing anything is not difficult(another thing Bush has proven)

BB-Weren’t those those Al Quaeda killed bringing arms and fighters into Iraq to kill our soldiers?

one can make all kinds of assumptions and it still doesn’t make it right.
the basic premise is flawed:
our intelligence(an assumption) is correct. there seems to be no memory of when it was in error? Or is the intel just used to give an excuse to kill?
our gov likes to kill based on assumptions, he is ____ so he might do _____and those types just hate______ so we must kill them before they do something evil.
how is it basically different than a terrorist act?
where is the moral, ethical, or legal justification to support this type of act?
or do those ‘outside’ values not apply to the self-righteous and faithful?
I wonder if Obama is elected this country will return to a society that respects the rule of law and values life. Or has the cat been let out of the bag…

It’s Darwinian (if you believe in evolution)
October 29th, 2008 at 3:19 am
Beetle do you believe in evolution? Intelligent design? Creationism? I know you have faith but in which one? Are You a Darwin proponent?
October 29th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
Regrettably, this action or another like it will surely escalate before the election.

I Think Beetles no Answer is pretty telling.
