M. Ward - Chinese Democracy
Perhaps the most consistent artist from today’s contemporary crop of songwriters. The man has yet to put out a bad song.
Warm, stately, generous music that will fit within any space you allot it. The full band setup works well here I think, but stripped down the guy’s even more […]
“Only a crisis, actual or perceived, produces real change.”
-Milton Friedman
Every now and then, we have the honor of reading a book, or watching a live event, which turns the normal, conventional-wisdom thoughts of our elites on it’s head.
Last week we had the honor to see how a hard-hitting ad by Moveon.org would shake […]
Futurama Song #3
Bill Nelson from the dappy lookin’ rocker(a la Duane Eddy) to the electronic period then on to some ambient work.
I’ve found there’s gems on all lp’s yet, for me, it’s pick and choose on each.

The shame […]

“Slave To Love”
I had the pleasure of seeing “Little Jimmy Scott” back in ‘94 and I must say I’ve never ever seen a person so devoted to music before or after. His story is a simple one and a common one as well. Super talent and emotion ignored by the frivolous pop music scene, then […]
“No Surprises” live acoustic @ Le Reservoir
I Heart Sundays! Again, It’s the certain emotion that comes with a Sunday. A little melancholy but free, a time to explore, do what you want before society’s idea of the workweek gets you locked into 5 days of one direction. (at least that’s my take coming from […]

“Sky Blue Sky” trailer
If you have’nt heard the new Wilco LP yer in for a treat both musically and with the package. I suggest getting the full CD/DVD
special edition although with the plain CD you do get an extra 2hr live concert bonus audio.
Wilco had abandoned their ‘Big Staresque’ power pop since the LP “Being […]
